Job summary

INNIO Group is seeking an Industrial Electrician for 1st shift at our Waukesha, WI facility. You will perform day‑to‑day electrical maintenance and repair on equipment and facilities, meeting short‑term objectives and contributing to long‑term preventative maintenance programs.

You will troubleshoot electrical systems, install and start up equipment, interpret manuals and schematics, and ensure safety compliance. Proficiency with AC/DC up to 480V and experience with CNC controls is desirable.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Industrial Electrician Card or 5 years equivalent industrial electrician experience.
• Collaborative team player, willing to take ownership of decisions and be a results-oriented self-starter.
• Able to work effectively in all environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multi‑task and coordinate several projects simultaneously.
• Experience leading initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including but not limited to numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance functions.
• Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and in line with OSHA requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping of work area and equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment faults and failures.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70 and 79 codes and their applications to meet national, state, and local codes.
• Experience and ability to work with AC and DC voltages up to and including 480 volts.
• Install and repair electric motors of all types.
• Ability to diagnose and program VFD’s as necessary.

Overview

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for day‑to‑day electrical maintenance and repair activities required for equipment and facilities. In this role, you will meet day‑to‑day short‑term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short‑term planning as well as establish the long‑term planning through a facilities and equipment preventative maintenance program.
