Electrical Automation Services in Pitman, NJ, is seeking a maintenance technician focused on electrical and control systems for food manufacturing equipment. You will maintain documentation, assist mechanics, and coordinate Electro-Mechanics training across shifts, with occasional offsite support.

Role requires on-site work, GMP compliance, safety and quality standards, and meticulous record-keeping of work orders and downtime.

Qualifications

• AS/AA in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience with installation and maintenance of electrical/control systems for machinery.
• Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens and Mitsubishi software and preventive maintenance tools.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control system documentation.
• Ability to read P&ID, machine layout drawings and control schematics.

Responsabilités

• Maintain current documentation for electrical and control systems.
• Assist Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics in diagnosing electrical or control issues.
• Provide training and coordinate activities of Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
• Occasionally work offsite to support equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure production equipment is maintained according to the production schedule.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections safely while equipment is operating.
• Address corrective, preventive, or scheduled repairs following vendor specifications.
• Work independently or with a mechanic to identify and rectify equipment failures.
• Complete tasks in adherence to GMP, safety, quality control, and company procedures.
• Perform maintenance on batching and continuous process control systems (networks, AC/DC drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, hydraulics, mechanical components).
• Maintain secondary systems for steam, hot/cold water, air, electrical power, refrigeration, HVAC, and emissions control.
• Keep accurate work records per work orders, backlog and job assignments.
• Carry out other duties, including travel for parts procurement, training, or extra responsibilities.

Location: This position is on-site in Pitman, NJ. Please apply only if you live within 37 miles of Pitman.Position Overview: This role involves the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of machinery utilized in food manufacturing processes. The main emphasis is on the upkeep and documentation of electrical and control systems, addressing both hardware and software aspects to ensure efficient production operations.Key Responsibilities:Maintain current documentation for all electrical and control systems.Assist Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics in diagnosing and resolving electrical or control-related issues.Provide training and coordinate the activities of Electro-Mechanics across all shifts as needed.Occasionally work offsite to support equipment troubleshooting and repairs.Ensure production equipment is maintained according to the production schedule.Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections safely while equipment is operational.Address corrective, preventive, or scheduled repairs during equipment downtime following company and vendor specifications.Work independently or with a mechanic to identify and rectify equipment failures, restoring production promptly.Complete tasks in adherence to government regulations, GMP, safety standards, quality control measures, and company procedures.Perform preventive, scheduled, or corrective maintenance on batching and continuous process control systems, including networks, AC/DC and servo drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components.Maintain secondary systems for steam, hot and chilled water, pneumatic air, electrical power, refrigeration, HVAC, and emissions control.Keep accurate work records in accordance with work orders, backlog, and job assignment systems.Carry out other assigned duties as required, which may include travel for parts procurement, training, or additional responsibilities.Aim to enhance the quality, legality, and safety of products and manufacturing processes.Ensure the assigned work area is clean and organized, reporting any potential contamination or suspicious activities to a Supervisor immediately.Qualifications:AS/AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.High school/military training and practical experience in a related field, with a background in complete machine and electrical control system installation.Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software, as well as preventive maintenance software, is preferred.Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems design documentation.Working knowledge of control system projects, including machine layout, control drawings, P&ID, and basic troubleshooting for A/B-Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi.Ability to perform basic and advanced mathematical calculations, converting units of measurement.Competent in completing forms detailing maintenance work performed.Proficient in reading and interpreting work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
