Job summary

Brown-Forman Corporation in Louisville, KY is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join the maintenance team. You will install and tune drives, maintain PLCs, HMIs, and networking, follow NEC and safety standards, and work across multiple voltages.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and troubleshoot AC/DC Drives and Servo Drives (Powerflex 525 & 755).

• Maintain high-speed packaging equipment (Krones labelers, MBF Fillers, Standard Knapp packers, FANUC robotics).
• Maintain building switchgears, transformers, and emergency power systems.
• Ensure NEC compliance and safety standards.
• Work with plant electrical circuits (480V, 277V, 120V, 24V).
• Maintain and troubleshoot plant-level automation and PLC integration.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability of our high-speed manufacturing equipment. The electrician will be responsible for the installation, programming, and advanced troubleshooting of electrical systems ranging from 24V DC to 480V AC, with a heavy focus on Allen Bradley platforms and motion control systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and troubleshoot AC/DC Drives and Servo Drives (Powerflex 525 & 755, Stratix switches, motor starters/overloads, push button controls).
• Maintain and program Allen Bradley family of controllers, using diagnostic software, PlantPAX interface, and HMI development.
• Perform maintenance on high-speed packaging equipment: Krones labelers, MBF Fillers, Standard Knapp packers, FANUC robotics, control valves, agitators, pumps, conveyors, and centrifuge motors.
• Maintain building switchgears, transformers, and emergency power systems.
• Ensure compliance with municipal regulations, National Electrical Code (NEC), and company safety standards.
• Work safely and effectively with all plant electrical circuits (480V, 277V, 120V, and 24V).
• Maintain and troubleshoot plant-level automation and PLC integration.

Qualifications

• Electrician Journeyman’s License, State License, or equivalent military/college technical training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience locating electrical faults quickly in a high‑pressure environment.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Strong basic math skills for electrical calculations.
• Strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 80 lbs; perform stooping, twisting, climbing, and hand assembly tasks. Exposure to heat, cold, moving mechanical hazards, and heights. Required to wear steel‑toed safety shoes, safety glasses/goggles, earplugs, and other PPE.

Availability

Must be flexible to work all shifts, holidays, and weekends as production needs dictate.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial or high‑speed manufacturing setting.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for both relay logic and PLC controls.
• Experience with industrial networking (Ethernet/IP) and power supply systems.
