Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician for our Lehigh Acres, FL manufacturing site. This role ensures proper electrical functioning of plant equipment, troubleshoots issues, and performs repairs and preventive maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in industrial electrical work, with strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and reading schematics; PLC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and power distribution.
• Experience with reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with PLC programming or troubleshooting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment including motors, controls, PLC systems, VFDs, and instrumentation.
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in production machinery, conveyors, and plant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and repair control circuits, relays, timers, and contactors.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to resolve complex equipment malfunctions.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring proper electrical functioning of plant equipment, tools, and machinery and to troubleshoot any electrical malfunctioning, and complete appropriate repairs and maintenance.

Job Location

This is an on-site position at our manufacturing site in Lehigh Acres, FL.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment including motors, controls, PLC systems, VFDs, and instrumentation.
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in production machinery, conveyors, and other plant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control circuits, including relays, timers, and contactors.
• Work with other maintenance personnel to diagnose and resolve complex equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, including AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and power distribution.
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting a plus.
• Experience with VFDs and instrumentation a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
