Job summary

Industrial Electrician

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls in industrial modules and Gulf Coast field installations.

Pay: $28.00 to $38.00 / hour

Shift Schedule: Workers will work one of two shifts: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM with a half hour lunch break on varying days of the week from Monday through Sunday based on client need.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, instrumentation, and equipment in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Work with lighting systems, electrical panels, outlets, control panels and systems, temperature, pressure, and flow sensors, control valves, and cable tray and conduit systems.
• Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, loop drawings, and technical drawings to determine the layout and installation of electrical and instrumentation systems, wiring, circuits, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify faults and implement effective solutions promptly and accurately, minimizing downtime and ensuring safety.
• Identify potential hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks associated with electrical work.
• Select and utilize appropriate materials, tools, and equipment necessary for electrical installations and repairs.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), and ensure all electrical installations and repairs are performed in compliance.
• Accurately maintain records, logs, and documentation pertaining to electrical work performed, including installation records, maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and equipment specifications.
• Apply working knowledge of modular fabrication practices, including shop based installation of electrical systems, instrumentation, cable tray, and conduit within pre engineered structural and piping modules, coordination with fitters and pipefitters on module tie in points, and the methods used to transport and erect completed modules at final installation sites.

Requirements

• Must pass a pre hire drug test and medical physical.
• Must pass a written and functional test administered at the project worksite or PSV worksite in Texas at employer expense.
• Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be willing and able to climb and work in high places that may exceed 200 feet in height, and in confined spaces.
• Must adhere to all OSHA, company, and client safety protocols.
• These requirements apply equally between U.S. workers and H 2B program workers.
