Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting, including motors, transformers, generators, and lighting.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment with an industrial work environment, including troubleshooting/diagnosing electrical problems, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes, and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to identify and address electrical issues that may impact production or safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest electrical technologies and techniques to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
  • May be assigned additional duties not listed above based on business needs.
Skills and Experience:
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and adhere to strict safety protocols.
  • Proven track record of successfully diagnosing and repairing electrical problems.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial/plant equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using testing equipment and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs and VFD's) and other advanced electrical systems.
