Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a heavy industrial plant in Muscle Shoals, AL. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, install and commission equipment, and troubleshoot complex electrical networks on large machinery including rolling mills, conveyors, CNC machines, casting equipment, and furnaces.

The role requires a Journeyman Electrician level of experience, 5+ years in an industrial setting, proficiency with PLCs (Siemens

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
Journeyman Electrician or equivalent industrial electrician experience.
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, including Siemens PLCs.
Hands-on experience with AC drives and DC electrical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain high-voltage equipment and switchgear.
Experience commissioning equipment and startup activities.
Strong troubleshooting skills on complex industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
Execute corrective maintenance on rolling mills, conveyors, CNC machines, and furnaces.
Install, wire, and commission new equipment in a heavy industrial plant.
Troubleshoot PLC controls to minimize downtime and keep production targets.
Diagnose and repair AC/DC drives and 3-phase motors.
Work safely around high-voltage equipment and switchgear.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and modifications.
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to prioritize work.
