Job summary

VJ Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Systems Technician in Bohemia, NY. You will join the Production Team to assemble, test, install and integrate industrial x-ray systems.

This role requires wiring, panel building, and wiring harness work, with PLC/PC control program support and about 15% domestic travel. Candidates should have a HS Diploma with technical schooling, at least 2 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, and the ability to read wiring diagrams and engineering docs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with technical schooling or training.
• At least 2 years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in cutting, stripping, tinning and crimping cables and harnesses.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• US citizen or permanent resident eligible to work in the US.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Willing to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble electrical control and safety circuits from panel building to wiring, startup and testing.
• Wire custom systems including panel building, machine wiring, and system startup/testing.
• Assist with debugging PLC or PC-based control programs.
• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot/repair and test systems (about 15% travel).
• Provide mechanical system integration and assembly support.
