Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking an experienced engineer to lead capital projects from feasibility to post-startup optimization. You will manage scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring safe execution in a wood products manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include directing design teams, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and applying NFPA 70/70E and industry standards. Expect 30% travel to manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering required; M.S. desirable.
• 480V power distribution design; secondary 480VAC transformers to motors.
• Experience leading multi-million-dollar industrial capital projects (wood products preferred).
• Knowledge of NFPA 70/70E and Factory Mutual guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of engineering projects from feasibility study through detail design, procurement, construction, start-up and post start-up optimization.
• Develop, plan and manage scope, budget, schedule and safe execution of capital projects.
• Lead project team members, contractors and consultants; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Perform arc flash and coordination studies; ensure compliance with codes.
