Job summary

Archrock in Midland, TX seeks an experienced electrical technician to perform wiring, panel work, and device installations in a safe, hands-on environment. You will read plans, troubleshoot controls, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

You will work with mechanical assemblies, coordinate with suppliers for panel hook-ups, and prepare documentation for commissioning and testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training preferred.
• 1-3 year related experience.
• 2 years electrical experience.
• Some experience in electronics.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment.
• Perform Minor Electrical repairs and installs alone or as part of a team. Completes and submits required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion. Utilize on the job training of all shop mechanic personnel.
• Install pneumatic tubing, layout tubing on skids, and connect to end devices.
• Fabricate bracket braces and instrument racks.
• Install wire and cable laid by hand, and in cable trays.
• Assist with changes to panel selection, wiring, etc.
• Maintain a file of installation design and technique for new units through pictures and diagrams.
• Test control panels and make connections in compliance with 10lb pull tests.
• Perform unit certification, final inspection, and test document.
• Make final electrical connections after installation of conduit and tubing.
