Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. in Pine Hall, NC is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead electrical maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and programming for heavy industrial systems.

The role requires mentoring junior electricians and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on-site. Ideal candidates have 5–10+ years in industrial electrical work, with expertise in high‑voltage distribution, Siemens PLCs, VFDs, and motor controls.

Qualifications

5–10+ years of industrial electrical experience.
In-depth knowledge of high-voltage distribution and heavy manufacturing equipment.
Knowledge of Siemens PLCs, VFDs, and motor control systems.
Journeyman or Master Electrician license or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Lead preventive and corrective maintenance on plant electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, power distribution, furnaces, rolling mills, and auxiliary equipment.
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults, minimizing downtime in a high-production environment.
Oversee installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment, motors, drives, and controls.
Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and NFPA/NEC codes.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on capital projects, upgrades, and system improvements.
Maintain accurate logs of inspections, testing, and repair work for compliance and reliability tracking.
Recommend and implement reliability improvements to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
