Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to design and document control systems for material handling solutions using AutoCAD Electrical. The role collaborates with project teams to produce device layouts, schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs.

Candidates should have an associate degree or higher in electrical engineering and at least 3 years of CAD-based experience with industrial controls; knowledge of Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and NFPA standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Minimum 3 years designing industrial controls in a CAD environment.
• Knowledge of Rockwell/Allen-Bradley controllers and terminology.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, UL 508A and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design device layouts and schematic drawing sets based on project requirements.
• Create system layouts, network layouts, and installation details.
• Prepare schematics and panel layouts for control panel fabrication.
• Generate bills of materials for panels and coordinate material ordering.
• Print plots and assemble drawing sets for bids and field installation.
• Identify automation tools to improve department efficiency.
• Update drawings to 'as-built' status at project completion.
• Adhere to department processes and participate in team objectives.
