Job summary

Power & Construction Group's Rochester, NY Industrial Electric division seeks a seasoned Project Manager to oversee electrical projects from bidding through completion, plan and quote work, procure materials, schedule crews, and ensure safety and quality while maintaining strong client relationships.

Candidates should hold an AAS in a relevant field with 6–10 years of PM experience and strong knowledge of medium voltage.

Qualifications

AAS degree in a relevant field.
6-10 years of project management experience.
Strong knowledge of medium voltage electricity transmission and distribution; substations experience a plus.
Excellent communication via phone and email.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities

Perform all work associated with bidding: attend pre-bid meetings, coordinate with vendors for pricing, complete material takeoffs, process RFIs, prepare bids.
Plan and schedule work with customers, communicate progress, and address changes.
Line up material, machinery, and tools to perform work.
Schedule work to complete the project scope.
Create and manage site-specific safety plans with Safety department.
Produce and distribute letters, memos, and forms; generate change orders.
Assist in preparing regularly scheduled reports; monitor progress and troubleshoot.
