Job summary

Interfor is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor in Thomaston, GA to lead site EHS programs, training, and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on driving safety culture, incident investigations, and continuous improvement across environmental and health initiatives.

The candidate will manage audits, regulatory reporting, and emergency preparedness while partnering with operations to protect employees and the environment. A CSP or related certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of EHS experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• CSP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Lead and support EHS programs, training, certificates, and regulatory compliance initiatives
• Conduct audits, inspections, and monitoring to identify risks and drive continuous improvement
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Manage environmental programs, regulatory reporting, permits, records, and emergency preparedness activities
