Job summary

Jacam Chemicals 2013, LLC is seeking a Drum Reconditioner to safely load, unload and process drums in a chemical manufacturing setting. The role involves handling empty, new or reconditioned drums and performing general labor and warehouse tasks with a focus on safety.

Work may involve operating a forklift and moving 55-gallon drums up to 600 pounds, with drum dollies, in environments with temperature extremes and chemical odors.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations at all times
• Identify and sort incoming materials for processing
• Load or unload materials into containers or onto trucks by hand or using equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, fork trucks, etc.
• Organize or track locations of items in warehouse
• Properly inspect, segregate, and consolidate all incoming or outgoing shipments.
• Sorting materials for refuse, reuse or recycling
• Responsible for safely cleaning empty chemical drums according to EAP guidelines
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
