Job summary

Formlabs is seeking an Industrial Designer to design new products from concept to production. You will develop concepts with clear visual communication and prototype from quick mockups to refined cosmetic models.

You’ll test designs with users, translate findings into the design process, and help define the hardware user experience from unboxing to maintenance. Collaboration with product teams and manufacturing is essential.

Qualifications

• Portfolio of relevant design work required.
• University degree in Industrial Design.
• Strong aesthetic sensibility and eye for detail.
• Ability to communicate ideas with quick sketches and storytelling.
• Experience prototyping across multiple fidelity levels.
• Proficient in 3D CAD, KeyShot and Adobe CC.

Responsibilities

• Design new products from idea to production.
• Develop design concepts with clear visual communication.
• Prototype continuously from quick mockups to refined cosmetic models.
• Test designs with users and translate results into the design process.
• Help define and refine hardware user experience from unboxing to maintenance.
• Create high quality CAD to communicate design intent.
• Collaborate with Product, UI Design, Engineering, Manufacturing.
