Job summary

Source Direct Construction Imports in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Industrial Designer to design products that meet spec and survive field conditions, then go on-site to prove them. You will own the product from sketch to install.

This role requires field installation experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to work between design reviews and job-site conversations. Travel about 15% and a valid driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• Background in industrial design or mechanical engineering; a strong portfolio counts.
• Direct field experience in construction or building products.
• Ability to read technical drawings with mechanical aptitude.
• CAD skills are a plus (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products across our platform from baths to new categories.
• Pressure-test drawings, specs, and installation requirements for manufacturability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to improve performance.
• Drive product testing and documentation.
• On-site field support ~15% travel and troubleshoot installations.
