Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, industrial design, or CAD drafting.
• Background designing for sheet metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Ability to read, create, and work from technical drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical components, sheet metal parts, assemblies, and welded structures.
• Produce detailed CAD drawings, 3D models, BOMs, specifications, and production documentation.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
• Evaluate designs for functionality, manufacturability, and cost.
• Partner with engineering, production, and project teams to resolve design and fabrication challenges.
• Update and modify designs based on project changes, customer requirements, and production feedback.
• Follow projects through the design and manufacturing process.
• Maintain organized CAD files, drawings, revisions, and technical records.
• Contribute ideas for improving product quality, production efficiency, and overall design.
• Participate in design discussions and communicate technical information to internal teams.
