Job summary

Delta Power Equipment Corporation is seeking an Industrial Designer in Spartanburg, SC to collaborate with engineering and marketing teams on new product concepts and improved designs. • Provide marketing with clean product images and line art for manuals and marketing material

Industrial Designer

Location: Spartanburg, SC Job Type: Full Time Department: Product Development Reports To: Director of Product Development

Experience/Knowledge

• Proficient in Solidworks 3D modeling (Previous experience with other 3D modeling or surface modeling programs a plus but not required)
• Proficient in and Intimate knowledge of Adobe Suite (CS6) or higher
• Photoshop - ID Concept Sketching, Image Editing, High Quality 2D Rendering
• Illustrator - Vector Works, Info-graphics, Packaging Layout, Various Advertising Layouts, Product Label Artworks
• InDesign - Presentation Layout, Instruction Manual Layout, Various Advertising Layouts
• Proficient in ID Product Concept Sketching on 2D medium (paper)
• Proficient in Keyshot Pro2 (or higher) 3D model rendering (Previous experience with other similar programs a plus but not required)
• Ability to participate in product concept brainstorming sessions within a team setting
• Ability to accept constructive criticism and refine stronger product concept ideas
• Ability to use Outlook and Microsoft Office Suit

Job Description

• Collaborative work effort with engineering department to generate new product ideas and further develop existing products
• Conduct market research for trending new design features
• Provide marketing team with clean and presentable product images and illustrations/line-art for user manuals and other marketing material
• Use Solidworks to produce 3D concept models.
• Use Keyshot 3D rendering software to generate realistic concept imageries for presentations.
• Continuing effort to develop strong company brand language and maintain consistent design application throughout product line

• Industrial Design: 1-3 years (Preferred)

• Education: Bachelor's (Required) - 4 year degree in Industrial Design or equivalent
• Work authorization: United States (Required)
