Job summary

PFI InStore is seeking an Industrial Designer in Hazelwood, MO to create displays, fixtures, and product solutions. You will move concepts from sketches to 3D models, renderings, and customer presentations while balancing aesthetics, cost, and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Production, and customers, leading meetings and presenting concepts. A 2–4 year background in related design and SolidWorks experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in industrial, product, or related design.
• Strong concept sketching skills; digital or tablet sketching preferred.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling, preferably SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with photorealistic rendering software.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and general office applications.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Strong creative thinking, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative custom displays, fixtures, and merchandising solutions using materials such as wood, metal, glass, wire, steel, and plastic.
• Transform ideas into sketches, 3D models, renderings, and compelling customer presentations.
• Develop creative concepts that balance aesthetics, functionality, cost, customer needs, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Production, and customers throughout the product development process.
• Participate in and lead product development meetings to help drive project direction.
• Work directly with customers and assist in presenting and pitching innovative concepts.
• Leverage manufacturing capabilities across PFI InStore and our affiliated companies to bring great ideas to life.
• Help elevate our customer presentations through high-quality renderings, in-scene imagery, and visual storytelling.
• Contribute creative content and ideas for marketing and social media campaigns.
• Stay current on design trends, materials, technology, and manufacturing processes.
