Job summary

Munchkin is seeking an energetic Product Design Intern to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. You will contribute to hands-on design work for consumer products, including concept development, prototyping and 3D modeling, with exposure to global retail processes.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, work on real products, and see your designs in retail stores. A strong foundation in UX/UI and experience with IoT-enabled products will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Illustrator, Photoshop, SolidWorks and Keyshot.
• Knowledge of UX and UI concepts.
• Experience in product development with integrated technology/IoT.
• Must be able to work on-site in Van Nuys, CA.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Detail oriented and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Generate concepts and problem solve for new products.
• Create quick sketches, mockups and 3D models; prepare presentation boards.
• Coordinate with overseas operations and present design work for retail.

What You'll Do

Munchkin’s Product Design Internship Program is designed to provide hands‑on experience and exposure to a career in the consumer products industry. Munchkin develops innovative, modern, and credible products for babies and children that make parents' lives easier and more enjoyable by thinking of \"the little things.\" We are looking for interns to join our creative Product Design Team in Van Nuys, CA. This is a real design job, working on real products. You will be able to see your product designs in retail stores. This position will be involved in generating concepts, problem solving and styling of new products. Quick sketching, mockups, 3D modeling, preparing presentation boards and corresponding with overseas operations are just some of the responsibilities of this position.

Bring it!

• Knowledge and understanding of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI)


• Experience in product development with integrated technology/IoT
