This is a hands-on controls position combining PLC programming, SCADA integration, control panel design, networking, testing, and field commissioning.
Develop and program control systems for engines, generators, and power-generation equipment
Program PLC/DDC systems using ladder logic and structured text
Configure and integrate SCADA and HMI systems
Develop control sequences and logic governing equipment operation and response
Integrate PLCs, controllers, instrumentation, and associated electrical equipment
Design and review control panels using AutoCAD and/or EPLAN
Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication networks
Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT) and system validation
Support field installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning
Troubleshoot controls, communications, and system-integration issues
Work closely with engineering, project, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls Engineering, or similar
2+ years of relevant controls experience
Master's degree candidates may be considered with limited professional experience
PLC and/or DDC programming experience
Strong understanding of ladder logic and structured text
SCADA/HMI configuration and integration experience

Previous experience with engine, generator, power-generation, or renewable-energy controls
This isn't simply a standard PLC role controlling production machinery. The engineer will be developing the control logic behind engines and generators, determining how critical power-generation equipment behaves, responds, and operates within the wider energy system.
It's a strong opportunity for a controls engineer looking to move further into power generation, energy systems, and advanced automation projects.
