Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Candidtalent partners with a leading life sciences integrator to deploy on a pharmaceutical site near Indianapolis. You will translate raw data into an actionable model, building interfaces and connectors to OPC, MQTT, UFL, and the plant asset model for MES/ERP/LIMS and cloud flows.
Experience turning a wall of tags into readable analytics, plus strong SQL and GMP familiarity, is essential. The team values hands-on engineers who can relocate to the Indy area.
Worth saying because if you read the job spec before this advert you might be mistaken. Data Archive, tuning, Asset Framework, PI Vision, its all in there.
What they actually want is the person who gets the data talking. Interfaces and connectors, OPC and MQTT and UFL. The asset model that turns a wall of tags into something a process engineer can read, and the pipelines out to MES, ERP, LIMS and the cloud.
Most people doing this work spend a career keeping one historian alive. This is a new pharmaceutical site where the architecture is still open, so the model you set is the one the next site inherits. The duration is open ended and the same manufacturer is building elsewhere too.
You'd be with a life sciences integrator, deployed onto the client's site where eight of their people already sit. I've worked with them since late 2020 and almost every engineer I placed there four and five years ago is still in their seat.
Healthcare is paid in full for you, your spouse and your kids. Then a 4% 401(k) match, three weeks vacation, five sick days plus enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
Ten years or more doing this, and 22 years still hands on is fine too. PI across more than one component, Data Archive and Asset Framework at minimum. Integration work you configured yourself, strong SQL, a language you write in. GMP preferred, not required.
25 miles northwest of Indianapolis, so the commute works from Zionsville, Whitestown or Carmel. Relocation is supported.
