Industrial Controls Technician – Shrewsbury, MA

Apply your expertise as an Industrial Controls Technician in our Maintenance department in Shrewsbury, MA. The Industrial Controls Technician performs machine maintenance activities to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high-performance standard.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems by interpreting machine error messages and operator inputs.
• Actively troubleshoot CNC machines and controls issues (electrical/electronic, hardware/software). Respond urgently to minimize downtime.
• Provide preventive maintenance in partnership with machine operators (e.g., maintain oil/grease, air, hydraulic, hydrostatic, coolant systems).
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automated systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and conveyors.
• Program and troubleshoot Allen‑Bradley PLCs.
• Diagnose and repair control and mechanical system issues.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent with a minimum 3years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical repair of CNC machine tools.
• Prior field maintenance experience with CNC machines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, and a drive to finish assigned tasks on schedule.
• Preference for candidates with familiarity with Fanuc controls.
