Job summary

Duracell is seeking an Instrument & Controls Technician for our Fairburn, GA plant. You will test, troubleshoot, and repair a range of electronic equipment, using Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000 and Siemens TIA Portal/Step 7 to diagnose faults and maintain automated systems.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis, preventative maintenance, and teamwork in a high-speed manufacturing environment. A technical certification or relevant experience is required, with night shift expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting Siemens PLCs (S7-1200/1500) with TIA Portal/STEP 7.
• Experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix/CompactLogix/MicroLogix) with RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000.
• Basic electronics knowledge: digital, AC/DC theory, microprocessors.
• Able to work in a team and convey technical information.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and repair a range of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Diagnose faults using Rockwell and Siemens software daily.
• Maintain PLCs, motor drives, IO terminals, and robotics systems.
• Read diagrams and manuals; perform root cause and preventive maintenance.
