Job summary

Allied Mineral Products in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to lead design and implementation of manufacturing automation, PLC/HMI programming, data acquisition and analytics across plants.

You will collaborate with R&D, Operations, and IT to develop CAD drawings, CAD/PLM workflows, and support global manufacturing. Occasional travel may be required to US or international locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of related work experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical controls and PLC programming.
• Understanding of UL, NFPA, NEC and IEC electrical codes.
• Ability to design electrical circuits and perform safety calculations.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

• Identify and integrate hardware, software, and data tools for IoT/Industry 4.0 applications.
• Ensure data integrity for dashboards and visualization tools (SQL, LabVIEW, Ignition, Power BI).
• Develop analytics reports and visualization toolsets (Dashboards, OEE).
• Program and debug PLC, HMI, and robot software.
• Design controls and data acquisition infrastructure per standards.
• Lead equipment network asset management and documentation.
