Job summary

Kimberly-Clark is hiring an Industrial Controls Electrician (Day Shift) in Corinth, MS. You’ll inspect, repair, and fine-tune high‑speed, advanced machines in a facility serving a large portion of the world.

Use SAP, read electrical drawings, and apply NEC/NFPA70E standards while supporting the maintenance team. You’ll operate forklifts and lifting equipment, maintain safety, document work, and contribute to continuous improvement in preventive maintenance and equipment design.

Qualifications

  • 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or GED; 2-year associate degree in electrical technology or 5+ years related experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge and math skills.
  • Pass pre-employment drug & background screening and PAT.
  • Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E; experience with PLCs.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and use measurement instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical repairs and light mechanical work safely and in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and program electrical equipment and controls hardware.
  • Support Shift Technicians with electrical expertise.
  • Utilize SAP to support the role.
  • Maintain a clean work area to prevent contamination of product.
  • Accurately complete required work documentation.
  • Understand the concepts of the quality process.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles for electrical repairs.
  • Interpret and apply NEC/NFPA70E requirements.
  • Provide feedback to maintenance to improve equipment design.
  • Update preventive maintenance documents to improve inspections.

About You

In one of our manufacturing roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center.

In this role, you will:
  • Perform electrical repairs and light mechanical work safely and in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and program electrical equipment and controls hardware.
  • Support Shift Technicians with electrical expertise.
  • Utilize computer systems to support the role (SAP).
  • Maintain a clean work area to prevent contamination of product.
  • Accurately complete required work documentation.
  • Understand the concepts and participate in the techniques of the quality process.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles (i.e. scissor lift, boom lift, electrical carts, and forklifts) for electrical repairs.
  • Have a working knowledge of the NEC code and NFPA 70E, its interpretation and implementation.
  • Provide feedback to the maintenance team to help modify existing equipment and improve the design of future equipment.
  • Optimize preventive maintenance documents to improve the quality of inspections.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
  • Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate.
  • Have a 2-year associate’s degree in electrical technology or 5+ years of continuous related work experience.
  • Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
  • Able to maintain a work schedule 8-10-hour daytime shift schedule with some occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed for plant operations.
  • Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening and pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
  • Working knowledge of National Electric Codes and Regulations.
  • Significant experience with Programmable Logic Controllers- basic and intermediate Rockwell systems and programs.
  • Knowledge and experience interpreting drawings of electrical circuits and schematics and using electrical measurement instruments.
Physical Demand

While performing the duties of this job, Industrial Controls Electricians regularly work near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to the risk of electrical shock and vibration. Industrial Controls Electricians are required to use electrical gloves and other PPE as required. Industrial Controls Electricians may be exposed to high decibel levels from the production equipment and hearing protection is required.

Starting Hourly Wage: $36.49 USD
