ControlCom Technologies Engineering in Fort Myers, FL seeks a hands-on Control Panel Technician to build and wire control cabinets and backpans for industrial control systems. You will lay out, mount, wire, and label panels, then verify work through continuity checks and 24V checkout with our controls engineers.

Responsibilities include wiring from electrical drawings, reading schematics, and performing FAT prep while traveling up to 20% to support installations and commissioning.

Competenze

• 1+ year experience wiring industrial control panels or similar systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and panel drawings without hand-holding.
• Comfort using a multimeter for continuity, voltage, and current checks.
• Familiar with common panel components: terminal blocks, relays, contactors, fuses, power supplies, PLC I/O.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to connect devices via serial or Ethernet.
• Ability to follow wiring standards and produce inspectable work.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver's license; travel to customer sites up to 20%.

Mansioni

• Build and wire control cabinets and backpans from electrical drawings with DIN rails and terminal blocks.
• Wire to shop standards; label wires and ensure tidy duct fill and routing.
• Read schematics and panel layouts; mark redlines when as-built differs.
• Perform point-to-point continuity checks before power-up.
• Troubleshoot live 24V control wiring using a multimeter; trace signals to isolate issues.
• Use PLC software to view I/O status and verify wiring versus code.
• Assist with FAT prep, document test results, and complete punch-list items; travel to sites up to 20%.
