Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Project Engineer - Construction & Renovation to lead capital projects across manufacturing and facility environments with a focus on MEP and multi-trade construction.

You will manage projects from concept through commissioning, coordinating with AME, plant operations, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure safety, quality, cost, and schedule alignment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multi-trade construction or MEP projects in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution, subcontractor coordination, material procurement, and on-site construction management.
• Conduct daily site coordination, safety meetings, and progress reviews to ensure schedule adherence.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contractor performance.
• Monitor and control project metrics including cost variance, schedule variance, and earned value performance.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate critical issues impacting budget or timeline.
• Oversee commissioning, punch list completion, and final project closeout documentation.
