Job summary

Epic Piping in Livingston, AL is seeking a Coating Inspector to join our QA/QC team. You will help ensure painting processes meet safety standards and client specifications, inspecting surfaces, coatings, thickness, and corrosion resistance on a variety of industrial projects.

This role emphasizes hands-on testing, documentation, and collaboration with engineers and project managers on national and global-scale projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required, preferred
• Experience: 5-10 years in commercial/industrial painting
• Certification/licensing: NACE Level 1–3 preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety and environment guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Provide assurance of the quality of the paint application.
• Verify that all surfaces are suitable for painting.
• Utilize electronic tools to check paint thickness, color, viscosity, and corrosion.
• Report surface defects at prep, primary coat, intermediate coat, and final finish.
• Monitor painting-related work to meet company and client requirements.

Education
