Job description

Position Overview

Roskam Foods is a contract manufacturer located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that partners with food brands, retailers, and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce all elements of food safety within the plant.
• Maintain cleanliness of entrances, floors, utility areas, and storage areas.
• Handle line clean‑ups and document clean‑ups.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ensure proper completion of the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Read and manage the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Use cleaners as set forth in manufacturers’ instructions, ensuring bulk cleaning chemicals are properly diluted.
• Control test materials for proper dilutions under the direction of the Plant Sanitation Manager.
• Manage all line clean‑ups, reporting discrepancies to the SMS or Plant Sanitation Manager.
• Complete Standard of Work (SOW) and any additional work as assigned.

Education / Experience / Skills / Qualifications

• Basic math and reasoning skills.
• Flexible hours and availability for intercompany or weekend work as needed.
• Knowledge of inspecting line equipment.
• Understanding of changeovers, shutdowns, startups, periodicals, 100% organic, 100% wash, 100% allergen, and kosher clean‑ups.
• Ability to share discrepancies related to HACCP Programs, Allergen Program, GMP Findings, Hold Procedures, etc., with supervisors or Plant Sanitation Manager.
