Job summary

The Class Produce Group is seeking a Sanitation Technician to maintain cleanliness of the facility and production assets in a food production environment. The role reports to the sanitation foreman and ultimately the Food Safety Manager.

Responsibilities include cleaning ceilings with a man lift, power-washing ceilings and ripening rooms, maintaining PPE, and keeping floors free of debris while following safety and food safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, floor scrubbing machine, man lift and power washer preferred.
• Must be self-motivated, willing to work in cold environments, and demonstrate the ability to understand and follow safety and food safety policies and procedures.
• Must be willing to work in with a team.

• Replenishes necessary personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Using man lift to power-wash warehouse ceilings and ripening rooms

The employee is frequently required to climb in a safety cage to wash warehouse ceilings. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
