Crowder Constructors Inc in Spartanburg, SC seeks an Estimator (Civil / Structural / Architectural) for industrial projects. Primary duties include preparing bids, performing quantity takeoffs, coordinating with subs, and supporting the estimating team through all bid phases.

Required is a 4-year engineering degree with 2+ years estimating experience in civil/structural/architectural construction, plus proficiency with Excel, AutoCAD and Primavera.

Qualifications

• 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related field experience.
• 2 years estimating, engineering or similar experience related to civil/structural/architectural construction.
• Knowledge of concrete materials and construction including mixtures, placement, finishes, formwork and reinforcing steel.
• Proficient reading of engineering drawings, specs and bid documents.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, AutoCAD and Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bids and submit proposals to acquire projects that align with the business plan.
• Attend pre-bid meetings to gather project information and assigned estimate details.
• Visit project sites for local information and material takeoffs.
• Solicit quotes from vendors and subs and manage bid spreadsheets.
• Enter labor, material, subcontract and self-performed costs for estimates.
• Attend bid reviews and support the estimating team through bid day.
