Job summary

Group-Contractors seeks a Construction Foreman in Louisiana to plan and lead field crews on heavy civil projects. You will supervise 2–15 operators/laborers, coordinate with the superintendent, and ensure safety and quality in daily activities.

Must have NCCER Industrial Carpenter Certification (or willingness to test), 5+ years as a foreman, and expertise in form building, rebar, anchor bolts, and cement finishing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field experience as Construction Foreman.
• Must hold NCCER Industrial Carpenter Certification or willing to test
• Mastery level of understanding in form building, setting anchor bolts, tying rebar, and pouring/finishing cement

Responsibilities

• Plan construction activities based on project characteristics.
• Supervise daily activities of 2-15 heavy equipment operators and/or laborers.
• Coordinate work assignments with superintendent to ensure safe practices and deadlines.
• Set grade for cuts and fills using grade rod and related tools, and communicate depths.
• Resolve onsite complaints with HR and management as needed.
• Inspect work area to ensure quality and safety and proper sequencing of activities.
• Train new employees and advancing operators.
