Job summary

Service Center Metals, Inc. in Prince George, VA is hiring for a Production Team member to join our 24/7 manufacturing operation.

You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 75 lbs, and rotate through day and night shifts with weekend alternation. Candidate requirements:

• Work in a team environment at a fast pace
• Be dependable and accountable to work with team members
• Work a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts/3 to 5 days-per-week, alternating every other weekend including overtime, swinging from day and night each month
• Lift 21 – 50 lbs. pounds or more on a regular basis
• Lift 51 – 75 lbs. pounds or more on an occasional basis
• Work effectively in hot (120) and cold temperatures for long periods of time
• Have good math skills
• Perform repetitive tasks with few breaks
• Able to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures
• High School Graduate or GED

• Identify and prevent quality issues including cracks, drag marks, and bleed-outs.
• Clean and maintain casting pit
• Restock supplies and make control and shutdown cones
• Warehouse / production experience
• Forklift / mobile equipment experience
