Job summary

Sptrm in Arlington, VA, seeks an Industrial Base Analyst to coordinate and execute contract tasks supporting the SAF/AQX Industrial Base Division. You will lead mergers and acquisitions evaluations, track investments, and oversee predictive analytics for industrial base IT systems.

This role requires 10+ years of experience, a master's or PhD in Economics/Finance, and CFA/CBE certifications, plus Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute tasks spanning industrial base analysis and IT systems/data analytics.
  • Analyze the impact of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures on the DIB and Air Force programs.
  • Identify and assess supply chain vulnerabilities and support mitigation strategies.
  • Support GOCO plant justification and draft input for inquiries from Air Force, DoD, and Congress.
  • Track DIB investments, develop roadmaps/market strategies, and support Defense Production Act analyses.
  • Sustain and enhance DIBCI data-warehousing tools; integrate FPDS-NG and SAM.gov.
  • Evaluate and implement Govt-approved AI/ML for predictive analytics; deliver training.

Position Summary

The Industrial Base Analyst coordinates and executes all contract tasks supporting the SAF/AQX Industrial Base Division, helping the Air Force build and sustain a robust, secure, and resilient industrial base. This role leads mergers-and-acquisitions evaluations, tracks industrial base investments, and oversees sustainment and predictive-analytics development for industrial base IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute all tasks spanning industrial base analysis/strategic support and industrial base IT systems/data analytics.
  • Analyze and assess the impact of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures on the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and Air Force programs.
  • Identify and assess supply chain and industrial base vulnerabilities and support Government-led mitigation strategies.
  • Support justification of GOCO industrial plants and draft technical input for Air Force, DoW, and Congressional inquiries on industrial preparedness.
  • Track DIB-focused investments, develop technical roadmaps and market strategies, and support Defense Production Act (Title I and III) implementation analysis.
  • Sustain and enhance data-warehousing tools such as the Defense Industrial Base Company Insights (DIBCI) capability within PMRT, integrating sources like FPDS-NG and SAM.gov.
  • Evaluate and help implement Government-approved AI/ML applications for predictive analytics on supply chain trends, and deliver training on developed tools.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum Experience: 10 years
  • Education: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Certifications / Expertise: CFA; Certified Business Economist (CBE)
