Job summary

Water Reclamation Department in Cocoa Beach, FL is seeking a skilled automation technician to install, configure, program, and support PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems across treatment facilities.

You will develop and test PLC/HMI programs, troubleshoot control logic, and maintain automation software and documentation. The role requires 2+ years in automation and a Florida drivers license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in industrial automation, electrical/electronic technology, computer technology, information systems, instrumentation and controls, or closely related field.
• Minimum of two years’ experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, or supporting PLC, SCADA, HMI, or related automation systems.
• PLC and SCADA programming experience required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, programs, maintains, troubleshoots, and supports PLCs, SCADA systems, HMI applications, and automation equipment.
• Develops, tests, and documents PLC/HMI programs and troubleshoots control logic and instrumentation interfaces.
• Maintains automation platforms and software applications.
• Troubleshoots alarms, stoppages, communication failures, and user-reported problems to determine root cause.
