Job summary

Lincoln Electric seeks an experienced Automation Design Specialist to identify manufacturing processes, develop cost models and create quotations for automation equipment. You will evaluate system feasibility using data from Sales, Engineering, Management and Customers, and develop processes to produce systems or products.

Responsibilities include writing technical quotations, preparing supporting documentation, and assisting with customer communications, presentations and events while following

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing and design of industrial automated equipment.
• Experience with metal forming and joining processes (laser, arc, resistance welding).
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to develop cost estimates and technical quotations.

Responsibilities

• Identify manufacturing processes, recommend machinery concepts, develop cost models and create quotations.
• Evaluate feasibility of automation systems from data provided by Sales, Engineering, Management and Customers.
• Develop manufacturing processes and concepts to produce systems or products.
• Research and develop accurate cost estimates for Lincoln Electric Automation equipment.
• Write technical quotations and provide supporting documentation as needed.
• Assist with customer communication, presentations and trade-related events.
• Follow up with sales, customers and representatives; comply with ISO procedures.
