Job summary

Henry Molded Products Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Programming Technician to support automated systems, programmable equipment, and continuous improvement. The role focuses on PLC/HMI programming, system testing, and documentation within a manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with IT, engineering, and maintenance teams to implement upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety and reliability across facilities. A relevant degree and 2+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, industrial automation, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in programming and troubleshooting industrial control systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Control Techniques, Lenze).
• Familiarity with HMI development tools and SCADA systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings while providing hands on support with diagnostics, repairs, installations, etc., as required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Program, test, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems.
• Assist in the design and implementation of automation solutions.
• Maintain and update software documentation, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering and maintenance teams to support equipment upgrades and installations.
• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel and coworkers.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, system optimization and stay current with new, innovations that may benefit the HMP operations.
