Job summary

Hemlock Semiconductor Group (HSC) seeks an AI Vision Machine Learning Engineer to design and implement advanced analytical models for static images and video within the manufacturing environment. Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, data science, engineering (with software focus) or closely related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in computer vision, image analytics, or related fields, with at least 2 years in manufacturing
• Proven track record deploying models in production environments; familiar with model governance
• Working knowledge of Spotfire Analytics, Power BI or similar data visualization tool

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and refine deep learning models for automated perception tasks in manufacturing (detection, classification, measurement, anomaly identification).
• Optimize and deploy models onto edge devices (NVIDIA Jetson, industrial PCs, PLCs, smart cameras) with control systems team.
• Leverage cloud infrastructure (Azure Foundry, DevOps, GitHub, Fabric) for training, deployment, governance, and data access.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and process engineering to address real-world needs and drive production readiness.
• Report and monitor model performance using BI tools and implement maintenance plans for retraining.
