Job summary

Avathon, Inc is seeking an Industrial AI Scientist to design and deliver advanced AI solutions with emphasis on Generative AI, LLMs, and ML. You will apply scientific rigor to develop scalable, production-ready ML systems addressing forecasting, demand planning, and anomaly detection, collaborating with product and engineering teams.

You will contribute to model governance, responsible AI practices, and stay current with GenAI advancements, transforming research into scalable production

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in a quantitative field.
• Industrial AI experience in asset-intensive environments.
• Hands-on AI engineering and ML in production.
• Experience with Generative AI and LLMs.
• Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Statistical modelling, experimentation and evaluation.
• Deploying models into production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and GenAI solutions.
• Build and fine-tune LLMs for real-world applications.
• Develop scalable ML pipelines and production-grade systems.
• Conduct prompt engineering and model evaluation.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders.
• Monitor LLM applications in production.
• Mentor junior data scientists.
