Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - Katy is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to ensure the safety of its patrons. This role involves maintaining constant surveillance, responding to emergencies, and providing excellent customer service. Candidates must have current CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications.

The ideal candidate is a High School Student with at least 6 months of experience as a lifeguard. Benefits include a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Prefer 6 months experience as lifeguard at an aquatic facility or camp.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the rules of the facility to patrons.

Summary

Under general supervision, ensures the safety of patrons of the Goldfish Swim School by preventing and responding to emergencies. Wears the required Goldfish Swim School uniform while on duty.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an accident or emergency.
• Communicate the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently.
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Ensure that medical services (EMS or other) are contacted by most appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency.
• Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of customer service.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Maintain and keep the facility clean and safe as directed/assigned.
• Assist with closing and securing the facility.

Education / Experience

High School Student with Lifeguard, CRP/AED and First Aid Certifications. Prefer 6 months experience as lifeguard at an aquatic facility or camp.

Work Environment

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.

Certificates and Licenses
