The Alliance for Children’s Rights seeks an experienced Individual Giving Manager in Los Angeles to cultivate and steward donor relationships across annual, major, and planned giving. You will partner with leadership to manage a growing donor portfolio and drive engagement strategies that deepen philanthropy and impact.
This role offers flexibility to work from home or in the Alliance office in Los Angeles, with a focus on donor engagement, strategy, and collaboration with senior leaders.
The Alliance for Children’s Rights is seeking a mission-driven, proactive Individual Giving Manager to help shape the next phase of our individual giving program. This newly created role will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individuals who are ready to deepen their connection to the Alliance’s mission through annual, major, and planned giving.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, the Individual Giving Manager will partner with the Associate Director, Chief Development Officer, and CEO to develop and manage a portfolio of current and emerging annual, major, and planned giving donors.
The Alliance for Children’s Rights provides free, holistic legal services and advocacy to youth and families impacted by the child welfare and juvenile justice systems in Los Angeles County. Our attorneys, advocates, social workers, pro bono partners, and community volunteers help young people overcome barriers to stability and opportunity and access the education, health care, financial support, and permanent family connections they need. Since 1992, the Alliance has helped more than 180,000 children and young adults.
We pair direct services with local and statewide policy advocacy to remove systemic barriers and advance stability, equity, and justice for young people. Our collaborative, family-friendly culture recognizes that lasting impact depends on employees who are supported, connected, and able to thrive.
You will cultivate and strengthen the philanthropic relationships that sustain and expand the Alliance’s work. By learning what motivates donors, communicating the impact of their philanthropy, and supporting thoughtful engagement strategies, you will inspire significant and lasting investments in children, young adults, and families.
The Alliance recognizes that social justice and direct-service work can be both meaningful and demanding. We place a strong emphasis on employee well-being and strive to provide benefits, resources, and workplace practices that support employees’ physical and mental health throughout their employment.
This Los Angeles-based role offers regular flexibility in how and where work is performed. Employees may work from home or from the Alliance office on a regular basis, based on position responsibilities, donor engagement needs, events, meetings, and organizational priorities. In-person participation is expected when it best supports donors, colleagues, community partners, or Alliance activities. Candidates must reside in the greater Los Angeles area. The Alliance may adjust remote and in-office expectations as organizational needs evolve.
Please submit a resume and cover letter to: careers@alliancecr.org describing your interest in the Individual Giving Manager position and relevant relationship-building, fundraising, or donor engagement experience. Due to the volume of interest, we are unable to contact every applicant. No calls, please. Candidates selected for consideration will be contacted regarding next steps.
