Dorman Products is seeking an Indirect Procurement Intern to support sourcing and procurement activities. You will help handle RFQs, issue POs, and communicate with suppliers while learning how a global aftermarket company operates within a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, are detail-oriented, and ready to work across cross-functional teams. The US base rate for this full-time role is $24/hr.

Primary Duties

• Organize and send out RFQ's to suppliers
• Release POs, expedite orders and update open PO books
• Must successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously to transition products from development intoproduction.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, resourceful, and work well in a cross-functional team environment.
• Must be able to develop relationships and initiate, communicate, and take actions to resolve issues both
• internally and externally
• Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds.
• Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.

Education / Experience

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain management; ideally a 3rd or 4th year student.

What The Intern Will Learn

During the internship, the student will have the opportunity to:

• Learn how a product management team evaluates market opportunities, identifies customer needs, and Supplier Sourcing and Procurement: Learn how to manage RFQs, evaluate supplier quotes, and support sourcing decisions that deliver value to the business.
• Supplier Management: Learn how to coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time deliverables are met.
• Supply Chain Planning and Project Management: Learn how to manage multiple supply chain projects and support the transition of products from development into production.

The US base rate for this full-time position is $24/hr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
