Job summary

Veridian Credit Union is seeking an Indirect Loan Officer - FT in a hybrid role that requires two days per week at our North East / Central IA or Omaha locations. Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 3+ years experience in a financial institution or closely related field.
• Knowledgeable of loan procedures and related legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and underwrite applications from auto dealerships.
• Analyze all information pertinent to the loan, including collateral value, and determine action.
• Review dealer documentation and submit to a Dealer Finance Loan Processor for funding.
• Collaborate with funding team and dealer partners to obtain stipulations to fund loans.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with Veridian auto dealer partner personnel.
• Educate dealer partners on Veridian's indirect auto products and help meet volume goals while sustaining quality.
• Present and cross-sell products to business managers at auto dealerships.
• Document dealer communications with Indirect Management in a timely manner.
• Stay informed of dealer volume and delinquency information.
• Consistently achieve monthly and annual targets.

Indirect Loan Officer - FT

This is a hybrid position that requires individual to work 2 days a week from one of our locations in North East, or Central IA, or Omaha, NE.

Location: Waterloo, IA / Johnston, IA / Omaha, NE

Status: Full-time, non-exempt

Summary

The Indirect Loan Officer is responsible for reviewing and underwriting indirect auto loan applications for Veridian indirect dealer partners and ensures decisions are compliant in following regulations and established Veridian policies and procedures. This position works closely with dealer partners to create and maintain strong dealer relationships.

Essential Functions

• Create excellent service experiences that promote the Veridian brand.
• Review and underwrite applications received from business managers at auto dealerships.
• Analyze all information pertinent to the granting of a loan, including the value of collateral being offered as security, and determine action, including approval, counteroffer, and disapproval.
• Review dealer documentation and submit to a Dealer Finance Loan Processor for funding and tracking.
• Work closely with funding team and dealer partners to obtain stipulations required to fund loans.
• Responsible for creating, cultivating and maintaining relationships with all levels of Veridian auto dealer partner personnel.
• Provides education to dealer partners on Veridian's indirect auto products and assists with the creation of strategies to meet indirect loan volume goals while maintaining quality/margin/efficiency standards.
• Present and cross-sell products to business managers at auto dealerships.
• Accountable for documenting and sharing various dealer communication efforts with Indirect Management in a timely manner.
• Stay informed of dealer volume and delinquency information.
• Consistently achieve the established monthly and annual targets for the position.
