Johnson & Johnson is recruiting an Indirect Buyer to be located in Santa Clara, CA. The role focuses on end-to-end indirect procurement within the RAD organization, developing sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years in indirect procurement.
• Experience with SAP ERP modules: materials, planning, quality, purchasing.
• Experience with eMarketplace platforms and Ariba is a plus.
• Track record delivering complex supplier-facing projects with significant impact.
• Medical Device experience from development to commercial launch.
• Experience leading supplier projects with Contract Manufacturers or component suppliers.
• Problem solving, independent work, and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Support RAD Organization end-to-end sourcing-to-pay with indirect purchasing.
• Assist supplier selection to ensure a capable supplier base.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect materials and services.
• Generate RFQs to obtain best terms for RAD.
• Update quote-to-part receipt process to compress timing.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers; assist in negotiations and pricing.
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct supplier performance evaluations.
• Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define sourcing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels, delivery schedules, and resolve procurement issues.
• Resolve AP issues to ensure timely payment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support RAD Organization from end-to-end Sourcing-to-Pay-Process independently with indirect purchasing
• Assistsupplier selection team process to ensure capable supplier base
• Develop and implement procurement strategies and processes for indirect materials and services
• Generate RFQ (RequestForQuote) to suppliers on behalf of RAD to obtain bestpossible terms
• Update and streamline quote to part receipt process (compress timing)
• Identifyand evaluate potential suppliers,assistincontractnegotiationsand pricing terms
• Manage supplier relationships andassistsupplier performance evaluations
• Analyze market trends and industry developments toidentifycost-saving opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute sourcing strategies
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Monitor inventory levels, track delivery schedules, and resolve any procurement-related issues
• Resolve AP (Accounts Payable) issues for suppliers to ensuretimelypayment

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience may be considered.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in indirect procurement
• SAP ™ ERP experience in materials, planning, quality andpurchasingmodules
• Experience with eMarketplace platforms and Ariba system is a plus
• rack recordof successfully completing complex supplier facing projects with significant business impact if time, cost, or quality deliverable are not achieved
• Medical Device experience successfully completing a program from early development program to commercial launch
• Demonstrated results in leading supplier projects with CMs (Contract Manufacturers) orcomponentsuppliers
• Solve problems, work independently,possessexcellent communication skills
• Bias towards proactive planning and the ability to understand potential roadblocks and implement mitigation plans
• Ability to execute and fastidiously review high volumes of complex change orders in PLCM system, Agile™ experience
• Knowledge of regulated environment in compliance to ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820
• Category/commodity experience in metals, electronics or plastics is preferred
• May require up to 10% international or domestic travel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$75,000.00 - $120,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
