Job summary

BlockReel is seeking a talented Gaffer for an indie production in Brooklyn. The role supports a 1–2 day shoot with prep, likely in late October or early November 2026, compensation at $300–$500 per day depending on experience and gear.

Must bring a reel/portfolio and be prepared to supply a basic grip and electric package for a small to mid-sized production. You will collaborate with the DP on lighting schemes, oversee setup and breakdown, and lead a small lighting crew while prioritizing safety

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of gaffing experience on music videos or narrative shorts.
• Portfolio reel or work sample required.
