Job summary

GEMCO Constructors, headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, is hiring a Welder/Pipefitter to fabricate, install, weld, test, and repair piping systems on commercial projects across the Indiana Region. You will interpret plans, perform precision welding in TIG, MIG, and SMAW, and ensure installations meet project specs and codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years welding and pipefitting experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Ability to read blueprints, isometrics, and project documentation.
• Wamiliarity with welding methods (TIG, MIG, SMAW) and piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and project docs to determine piping layouts.
• Measure, cut, bevel, thread, fit, and install piping systems.
• Weld using TIG, MIG, SMAW per project specs.
• Install piping for HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and other systems.
• Lay out and verify dimensions, elevations, and connections.
• Install hangers, valves, fittings, and pumps.
• Perform pressure and leak testing and inspections.
• Maintain compliance with codes, specs, and safety policies.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with material handling and coordination with teams.
