Job summary

Northern Lights Locating & Inspection, Inc. is seeking an experienced Utility Locator for Vandalia, OH. You will locate underground utilities, read maps, and mark utilities while coordinating with excavators and owners.

The role offers full-time employment with territory freedom and ongoing support. Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years locating experience, clean driving record, and ability to work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of 811 laws and best locate practices.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass a drug screen.
• Willingness to work OT and flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities in compliance with 811 laws.
• Read and interpret utility maps and GIS data.
• Use electronic locating equipment and multiple locating methods.
• Accurately mark utilities with paint and flags.
• Document work via mobile app with photos and reports.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
