Job summary

Allied Instructional is seeking certified Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team of independent contractors in the Fort Myers area. TVIs work in local schools, in person, providing specialized services to students with visual impairments. This contractor role offers both part-time and full-time options. Must hold a Professional License in Visual Impairment with knowledge of IEPs/504 plans and Braille.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Professional License in visual impairment.
• Preferred work-related experience as a TVI.
• Knowledge of IEPs and 504 plans.
• Experience with FVALMA assessments and recommendations.
• Knowledge of Braille and low-vision skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessments and services to school-aged students with visual impairments.
• Develop and implement IEPs/504 plans for visual impairment needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student outcomes.
• Deliver in-person services within local school divisions as an itinerant TVI.
